Our Tepetzingo Plant supplies cement and mortar to the following states:

Mexico City (Federal District), México State, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Puebla, Querétaro, Tabasco, Tlaxcala and the southern part of Veracruz.

Tepetzingo received the Clean Industry Certification in 2002 and the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 quality certificates the following year. These certifications allow us to guarantee the quality of all our products without neglecting the social and ecological aspects that are so important for our close relations with the surrounding communities. Tepetzingo is the only cement plant in Mexico to have received this triple certification.

The plant has the latest cement production equipment of the highest quality, including Gamma – Metrics, an analyzer of raw materials at the beginning of the cement production process. This analyzer guarantees that all supplies used are top quality and that the exact amounts are used to make the chemical composition required for resistant, lasting and uniform cement. The plant also has two Horomill raw mills, two Horomill cement mills and one tubular mill. This technology results in savings of time and money and offers our clients the guarantee that all work carried out with Moctezuma cement will be harder and with greater solidity.

One of the most important considerations for the construction of Tepetzingo was its environmental impact. For this reason we developed systems that allow the heat created from roasting supplies for cement production to be used to reheat raw materials, so optimizing the use of non-renewable energy resources.
Crushing of chalk, one of the main elements in cement, is carried out underground, meaning that no dust is emitted into the atmosphere.

Tepetzingo has 35,000 m2 of green spaces, a plant nursery and a reforestation program for the quarry. We also have an electrical energy self-generation system and a reservoir in which the area’s freatic mantles are recovered.
